You would think that after so many trips to Paris, I would get less excited about seeing the Eiffel Tower. I mean, the first time you look at it in person is a beautiful shock *Stendhal!*.

The second time probably gives you the perspective to look at the details. You then decide to pay the ticket to get on it and appreciate the views as well as the iron and screws that make her flesh and bones. Perhaps you visit again at night, to see the 20,000 bulbs that are like a night dress lighting.

Despite having done all this numerous times, I still love watching this Parisian monument and go through the same enthusiasm and joy in every occasion *for real*.

Secret views for the Eiffel Tower

During my multiple visits and stays, I have discovered some spots where you can get a slightly different view of the Eiffel Tower. Some of them are not in the tourist maps and there are no crowds, allowing you to act cool, just walking the street like a local whilst you please yourself with the views.

I have treasured a number of these little corners for years, telling only my close friends and relatives and now, I trust you to do the same *pinkie promise please!*

I have put a list together as I thought that I was only fair to dedicate a blog entry to one of my favourite monuments in the world, a place that I have been really privileged to witness so many times and also to show to others and watch their reactions.

Street level views

Obviously, Trocadero and Champ de Mars

And from Rue Buenos Ayres *probably one of my favorite views ever!*

As well as Avenue de Suffren and from Parc de Saint Cloud.

Top of some monuments

Also the top of Tour de Montparnasse [2]

I would not recommend the view from the Sacre Coeur dome (but I recommend the dome itself, just don’t climb it only because of the Eiffel Tower view because you will be disappointed!)

Terraces

From the rooftop at the Hotel Raphael

Try the terrace at the shopping centre Printemps located in Haussmann Boulevard.

Views on the move

From a cruise in the Sena
Even from the metro ! (Line 6 between Passy and Bir-Hakeim)

Disclaimer: Some of the above places have a number next to them. This means that I could not visit them during the trip I took in May 2019, which is the one I am blogging about. I wish I could have stayed more days to bring you a thousand pictures but unfortunately work life was calling!
